The short version
route.style participates in affiliate programs. When you click certain links on this site and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. We disclose this on every guide that contains affiliate links and at the top of this page in plain language.
What this means in practice
Some of the products we recommend pay us a small percentage of any sale that begins with a click on our site. That percentage is paid by the merchant, not by you. The price you see is the same whether you reach the merchant through us or directly.
What does not change because of affiliate relationships
Our recommendations. We pick the products in our guides based on independent research and hands-on testing. A product is included because it earned its place. Affiliate program participation does not buy a product placement, a higher ranking, or a more favorable verdict. If a product does not have an affiliate program, we still recommend it. If a product loses its affiliate program, we still recommend it.
How we identify affiliate links
A banner sits at the top of every guide containing affiliate links, and the links themselves are styled as buttons rather than as inline links, so the commercial intent is clear before you click. Nothing is hidden, nothing is mislabelled.
Programs we participate in
We participate in affiliate programs operated by individual merchants and by affiliate networks, including Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, Impact, ShareASale, PartnerStack, Awin, and direct programs operated by the named brands in our guides. The list changes as we add or sunset coverage. As an Amazon Associate, route.style earns from qualifying purchases.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in compliance with the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising (16 CFR Part 255). We make our material connections to merchants clear, conspicuous, and unavoidable.
